Members of Frisson are experienced educators and teaching artists, having a wide range of experience from Suzuki pedagogy through the college level. Individually they have participated as New York Philharmonic Teaching Artists and as part of Carnegie Hall’s Ensemble Connect program. Our musicians enjoy exploring both the mechanics of the instrument as well as creating listening experiences for audiences of all ages.

Frisson offers a wide range of educational activities including:

-Interactive presentations for students of all ages from kindergarten through high school.  The presentations include informal chat, demonstrations of the instruments and a wide range of performances of both classical and popular music. Similar presentations are also available for community groups, seniors, and youth groups.

-Master classes and workshops for music students of all ages.

-Clinics for bands and orchestras.

-Individual and group coaching.

-Workshops and open discussions on what is involved in being a professional touring musician, including practice routines, dealing with stage anxiety and working with audiences of all types.
